About our Angel Fund

Bent Tree Animal Hospital's Angel Fund was founded in 2003 to help stray and abandoned animals receive proper medical attention, but has since expanded to include extensive treatment for sick and injured animals.  Whether they needed nursing care or vaccinations we have been able to provide discounted medical services to over 200 cats and dogs over the last 13 years.  We have assisted family pets that needed extensive medical care and owners who were forced to face the difficult decision of euthanasia, due to hard times and tight budgets.  Fortunately, our angel fund has been able to help many of these clients avoid that decision, and allowed them to receive the medical care needed to nurse their beloved pets back to health.

Today we ask for your help in replenishing this fund in order to continue to provide financial assistance to sick pets and stray or abandoned animals that come our way.  Stray and abandoned animals are vaccinated and spayed or neutered prior to adoption.  All assistance is limited and provided on an approval basis by our Angel Fund Committee.

Angel Fund Success Story – Kitty

Kitty is a gray and white domestic shorthair that barely escaped an apartment fire.  The day after Thanksgiving, Kitty’s apartment caught on fire while her owner was out of town.  A friendly neighbor brought Kitty to Bent Tree Animal Hospital for treatment of her burns and smoke inhalation.  She was lucky to escape the flames as her owner’s apartment was a total loss!  Her good samaritan continued to visit and monitor her progress while we attempted to find her owner.  With the help of the Angel Fund, Kitty’s life was saved and she was given a second chance with her family.  After a lot of loving, attentive care and a full recovery, Bent Tree Animal Hospital was able to find Kitty’s owner.  Having lost everything in the fire, her owner was relieved she was ok and her medical bills had been mostly paid by our Angel Fund.

Angel Fund Success Story – Happy

Happy is an australian shepherd mix brought in after being hit by a car near Sonic.  She had to undergo several surgeries to repair damage sustained to her front left paw.  After several weeks of healing, Happy was vaccinated and ready for adoption.  She was full of energy and loved playing in the backyard.  She went home with several people, but enjoyed chasing the kitties way too much!  Thanks to Bent Tree Animal Hospital's Angel Fund, Happy is finally in a loving home with a canine playmate and is happier than ever!
